What format are the toolkits?

Each toolkit is a fillable PDF workbook plus an interactive project manager spreadsheet: a Google Sheet you copy to your own account, or download as .xlsx for Excel. The Home Refresh Guide is fillable, with no project manager.

What's the difference between the toolkits and the Refresh guide?

The toolkits (The Furnishing Standard Toolkit, The Renovation Standard Toolkit, and The Standard Toolkit Library, which holds both) are for when there's something to buy or build. Each one pairs a fillable workbook with an interactive project manager that tracks your budget, purchases, and orders. The Home Refresh Guide is for when you already own everything and the room just doesn't work yet. It's a fillable guide that works with what you have, so there's no project manager.

Why not a course?

A course teaches you, then leaves you to do it alone. This does the work with you: your home, your budget, your rooms, filled in as you go, with the project manager keeping it all in one place. No videos to sit through, no modules to finish first. Start at whatever part your project is in.

Do I need Excel?

No. The project manager is a Google Sheet you copy to your own free Google account. Prefer Excel? Download it as .xlsx. Excel and Google Sheets run every feature. Apple Numbers calculates every formula but drops the dropdowns, filters, and frozen headers, so I recommend Sheets or Excel.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The workbook fills in on a phone, a tablet, or a computer. The project manager opens on a phone too, though a budget is easier to work on a bigger screen.

Is my budget data private?

Yes. It's your own copy of the sheet, in your own account. I never see it.

How do I get it?

What's the guarantee?

The toolkits and the Refresh guide carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Design sessions and the Boutique (the Tote, the Print Edition, and the Heirloom Edition) are excluded. The details are in the refund policy.

How do design sessions work?

In-Home: pick your time when you book, and I come to you. In-home sessions are available in Albany, Berkeley, Kensington, and El Cerrito only.

Remote: anywhere in the US. Sixty minutes on Zoom, with samples mailed to you. Yours to keep.

Reschedule for free any time up to the start of your session. Cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before; inside 48 hours, just reschedule instead. A missed session without notice gets one courtesy reschedule.

Can I return merch?

Merch and printed books: 30 days after delivery, unused and in original condition. Printed books need to be brand-new and not written in. Return shipping is on you, and anything damaged or defective, I'll make right.
